How I Renovated my Office Space with $150

So I recently realized that my home office was in desperate need of a makeover. I found myself struggling to be productive because my space was cluttered and uncomfortable. It was time for me to create a space that was free from clutter and where I was able to let my creativity flow. There was just one minor problem…I didn’t have a huge budget to redesign my office space. So my mission of creating a modern and minimalist office on a budget began! This is how I renovated my office space with $150.

Minimalism

I have a small area in my bedroom to work with so it was important for me to keep it very simple and minimalist in order to avoid any clutter. I like to keep things neutral so I went with a very simple white desk from Ikea to start with a blank canvas. The best part…it was only $24.99! The chair was a little tricky for me because I liked the look and price of a plastic chair but I wasn’t sure how comfortable it would be, but I decided I could always add a pad later if I decided I needed it.

The Details

For me, I wanted to avoid taking up desk space with storage boxes or magazine filers, so when I came across this simple wall organizer I knew it was exactly what I was looking for. This forces me to throw away stuff that I don’t need to hang on to. There’s just enough slots to keep my planner, scissors, pens, and pencils! Also the hanging succulents add a modern green element.
